Ottoman & Burlap

I have this ottoman. I actually have 2 and 2 matching chairs but I wanted to do something different with the ottoman.  I don't use it with the chair but I thought I could use the ottoman alone like a table or move it around to different rooms.  Here is the before.

It is not bad...a tapestry sort of look and I love the upholstry tacks at the bottom.

Of course I used my favorite fabric burlap! I only sew by hand.  No machine.  I first cut a piece for the top and then for the sides and I then pinned it around the top and then around the hem.  It took awhile to stitch it all up.  I only hoped it would come out good.  What do you think?

Here it is inside out.  And now.....
Look how need the little pleats turned out.

I am proud of it!  I hope you enjoyed seeing it!
